We had to wash dishes...

Doh! Yep, doh! is probably the best word to describe what happened...

Let's see... I went to a scrapbook convention with some friends Saturday. We were there all day and it was fun, as always, to hang out with my friends and of course the scrapbook related stuff. It's, however, a little different with a teenager (daughter of one of my friends) around that keeps thinking every guy at the place (yes, there are guys at scrapbook events. Rare, but there are) was hitting on her. :D

Anyway, after a long day, my friend Vivian and I decided to try out a Chinese noodle place she had heard about that was supposed to be really good. So off we went and we were congratulating ourselves that we beat the crowd by a matter of minutes. The food was so-so. Turns out it's Taiwanese food, and I'm not a big fan of Taiwanese food. We ordered some dishes to try, cuz it's all new to us. It's a bit on the bizarre side for me.

Then comes our BIG embarrassing moment! We asked for the check and I put out my credit card, as usual. ONLY, this time, we were told that they don't accept credit cards! Eeek!!! After a whole day at the scrapbook convention, I had used up all my cash and what restaurant doesn't accept credit cards these days??? Even McDonald's here accept credit cards, for crying out loud! Vivian came up with $30, but our bill was $34. Oops! So we offered to wash dishes... lol Thank goodness there was a liquor store next door with an ATM machine. ahh... the wonders of modern technology! Or we'd really be washing dishes!

So there's my embarrassing moment of the day, which easily could be the most embarrassing moment of my life, so far anyways. Ah well, a return trip to this restaurant would be rare for me anyways. :D
