Jared's turning 3 in a week, and we went to the store to look for something he might like for his birthday, on top of the bike my parents want to give him.
Jared: vroom, vroom!! (pushing a big toy truck around the store with sound effects)
Mommy: Would you like to take the truck home and play with it?
Jared: Nope. Vroom, vroom!!
ok... 5 minutes later...
Jared's dancing to the music from a toy garbage truck (yes, it actually sings! Eek!)
Daddy: Would you like to play with this at home, Jared?
Jared: No, Daddy. (keeps on dancing and grinning)
This same conversation happened over the next 5 or 6 toys, and Mommy and Daddy gives up!
In the mean time...
Alex: Can I have this?
Mommy: What is it?
Alex: I don't know!
Mommy: Why do you want it, you don't even know what it is or what it does?
Alex: It's cool. Can I have it?
Mommy: No Alex.
Alex: How about this? Or this? Oh cool, a SpongeBob body pillow! Cool! Can I have that?
Mommy - BIG sigh.
Mommy, to Daddy: Maybe we don't want to encourage a change of Jared's behavior. :D
