We went to a special exhibit of live butterflies at the Brookside Garden today. The show was awesome! We even got to see butterfly eggs, chrysalides, and caterpillars, along with full-grown butterflies.

There were butterflies of all colors and sizes fluttering around the room. There was even a rotten fruit tray for their special, uh, appertizing, pleasure. It must be pretty good, considering how many of the big butterflies were contentedly sitting on the pieces of rotten watermelons and cantelopes! The smaller butterflies were mostly centering around flowers. Either cuz they prefer them, or there's just no room next to all those big ones on the fruit tray, I don't know.

After the butterfly show, we walked around the park the long way to get back to the car. And the boys ran and jumped and giggled and had a blast! Brookside Garden is absolutely gorgeous this time of the year. Wonder how it is in the dead of winter... Anyway, there's even a maze that Jared loved going round and round saying "Oh oh, I gotta go this way now." or "oh, I gotta turn around!" Alex, on the other hand, enjoyed finding rocks all over the park.

A good time was had by all. Well, maybe all?

LOL! Eric's enjoying himself, really he is. He's just sitting there in quiet contemplation of the beauty around him and the magnificence of Mother Nature :D
