Time to update again

Have been slacking on my blog lately. Not much has happened, other than that my mom's improving. And thanks to those who have inquired after her health. If all goes well she will be home Friday. Yay! I've been going to the hospital at night and spending some nice mother/daughter time with her. She's recovering nicely and has started walking around the hallway for exercise today. Yay again!

Today we went to Pu Dong and met up with my friend Daisy and her two daughters. They are both 3 years older than my kids, and they had a blast together! We went to Century Park after lunch. Nice day for the park too. It was 18 degrees today. And we are supposed to go to 19 tomorrow. It was like spring!

The kids went on just about every ride at the kids zone. Poor Jared kept wanting to go on every ride too, just like the big kids, but some rides are just a bit too dicy for him. I made the mistake of letting him sit in the driver seat of the "Challenger". He kept steering it only one direction, which means the car's going in circle at a high speed. Eek! I thought I was going to puke! Had to quickly grab the controls out of his hands. He was NOT happy about that.

One funny note about Century Park though, (well aside from that they have to update their website more often), is that the entrance ticket price is different at different times of the year. In travel light season it's about 10 yuan a ticket. Fairly reasonable, even if it is one of the few parks in Shanghai that charges admission fees to begin with. But, at Chinese New Year time, the ticket price goes up. Last year it was 50 yuan a person, I was told. And when there are fireworks, or concerts, the admission fee can go up to 300 yuan per person!

Last but not least, 3 more days til Eric and Ricky arrives. Woot! Can't wait. The boys have started to ask for Daddy more often, and frankly I'm tired of being a single parent. Alex, though, is equally excited about the arrival of Ricky. I feel sorry for Ricky, he's going to have to share a room with Alex at night. I hope he gets some sleep. :D (Hey Jen, you might want to warn him about that!)
