Other Miscellaneous, Memorable and Maddening Things about the Cruise...

I'm a list kinda girl, so here I go...

The Great:

Everybody Loves Rays: Swim with Sting Rays.

This was absolutely wonderful! We got to snorkel for the first half, and saw sting rays swimming beneath our feet, and schools of colorful tropical fish big and small swimming right by us. We got to touch, feed and hold sting rays. We learned all about sting rays, including the fact that the big sting rays you see, are females whereas the male ones are small, and they let their young go at 5-days-old! That made all the parents there look around at our kids with a "You should know how lucky you are!" look. hehe

The On-board Water Slides.

The boys had so much fun going up and down the slides a million times! Two thumbs way up!

The Good:

The pool, hot tub, and the "Hairiest Chest Contest".

We spent one evening just soaking in the hot tub. It was a tad crowded, as only one of the two hot tubs were working. The boys had fun splashing about, and loving every minute of it! I was busy trying to make sure they aren't disturbing other guests. Yeah right!

There were lots of dancing, singing, and partying going on at the pool everyday. It was fun to watch people dancing to the macarana with the chicken dance threaded in.

The "Hairiest Chest contest" was sooooo funny. Alex had a ball watching the contestants going crazy on stage. There was even a guy who didn't have any hair on his chest in the contest. It was a blast!

The So-so:

The food. Everyone said the food would be awesome on a cruise. Well, there were certainly plenty of it. I got so sick of the food, I woke up Wednesday morning thinking "OMG, we gotta eat again!" ha!

The Not-so-good:

The shore time was too short. I would have loved to visit more of Cozumel, but with the excursion taking up a big chunk of the day, there wasn't much time left to explore the island itself. A shame.

The Darn-Right Bad:

It was extremely expensive. Everything they sell on the cruise costs an arm and a leg, including, and maybe especially, necessities. The lack of competition is really not good!

The famous "Camp Carnival" was BORING! First time I took the boys there, EVERYONE was watching tv, no matter the age. We left. Second time I took the boys there, they were all playing video games. REALLY? This is their idea of fun???
