September 12. As we were going to work and school in the morning, Alex suddenly said that he hated terrorists because they destroyed two really tall buildings in New York. I was amazed that he even knew about that, since I make it a habit NOT to watch news for this precise reason -- I do not want my kids to hear about the depressing side of life. But apparently their dad was listening to NPR with them in the car, and of course on September 11, the station had a bit of memorial for the sad event that happened back when...

anyhow... so he said that there were 3 buildings that got his, he thought. I acknowledged this.

Alex: The two in NY.

Me: Yes, the twin towers. The World Trade Center buildings.

Alex: Yeah, and and the one in DC.... mm... the Triangle!

Triangles, pentagons, they're both shapes, right?! Close enough!
