We went to check out Cunningham Falls State Park today. I was all excited, since I had never seen an actual waterfall before! (And Jared promptly reminded me that nor has he! TYVM)
So after a pretty rough hike in inappropriate shoes (flipflops and crocs), we found the trickling stream falling from up high that they call a waterfall... *ahem!*
But of course, the boys want to climb up it still, since there were other people hiking down from it. So we did. It really wasn't too bad. Aside from me thinking half the time (yes, only half) that I'm crazy. I'm here alone with 2 little boys, what if something happens? I twist my ankle, Jared hurts himself??? But I toughed it out, and aside from a few minor mishaps, we got through with mostly laughs and giggles, and me yelling "Please look down at where you are stepping!" "The rocks are slippery!" "Jared, stay where you are and wait for me!" and him yelling back "I got it!" bah! Being a mother is TOUGH!
It was a grand time though. We all had a blast. Gotta go explore more.
