Well they got a couple of little snowman ornaments with their names on them from a friend of mine this year, and they were ecstatic! Of course they were the first to go on the tree, and as Alex was digging into the ornament box, we discovered that we had identical snowman ornaments from the year before that was already given us. And we had all 4 of our names. To which, Alex insisted should go on the tree topper, instead of the tree itself, hence the earrings on the snowflake topper. Woohoo!
I know Liz had said that if it wasn't for the kids, they wouldn't put up a tree for Christmas, and I had the same sentiments. A friend of mine at work claimed that she only puts up her tree cuz her grandmother insists on it, and she has no kids. So I guess it's either for the kids, or for the elderly. What does that say about us???
