These are three companies I was most surprised to find that they have made their way to Shanghai!
As far as fast food goes, I've found KFC, Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Subway, McD's, and Burger King. TGI Friday, Pizzaria Uno, Rainforest Cafe, Tony Roma's and Texas BBQ have also been spotted here. None of which, incidentally, is any good. *sigh* Couldn't they get something decent here? Like Ruth's Chris, The Cheesecake Factory and Morton's?
Restaurants aside, there's Wal-Mart (but of course!). Staples is a delivery only company so far. They have a small store front that sells limited supplies of what they have in their warehouse, and they send catalogues (that included egg steamers) to companies and offers free delivery. Sounds familiar?
I've been able to find just about everything I need here. Even Toffeefay, relish and Pamper's sensitive wipe. Took a bit of searching and finally found them (expensive) at the City Market, which has tons of foreign imports. Woot! The only things I can't find are regular Kellogg's frosted shredded mini wheat, and Aveeno oatmeal lotion for Alex's sensitive skin. Though I did find Post brand mini wheats, which I don't care for. And I've seen ads for Eucerin, which will do for Alex, but I haven't found it in stores yet.
So Eric, you can survive here after all. Look, Dairy Queen. :D Though the closest one is in BeiJing, I think. But hey... Doesn't it bring up warm and fuzzy feelings of home still?
p.s. I have posted more pics of Shanghai.

what other non-american food have you eaten? HAH
Nothing other than Chinese food, sadly! It's been Chinese food day in and day out. As yummy as they are, I'm getting kinda sick of it. Never thought I'd say that! :p
and no, I don't do Hooters. Here or at home.
actually they are not as hyped up as it makes out to be. they are basically showing a bit of tummy and that is about it. food is surprisely good though.
