We were at Barnes and Noble today, at their train table/kids section. Alex had a caravan of trains connected together and running them along the tracks. Then he started counting his trains in CHINESE. He counted them, looked to me for approval, which I gave. Of course. I was damn proud. Then, he counted them again, only this time in Spanish! I, again, gave my approval, feeling proud that he can count in 3 languages. There he goes, "uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete". He's blurting them out without even batting an eye. Then I hear this funny voice loudly pronouces "ocho, nueve, diez"! I blinked. More than once I think. I stared at Jared with my jaws dropped to the floor. He had finished counting to 10 for Alex, in SPANISH! The only exposure to counting to 10 in Spanish he's had was Alex's counting for us here and there.
First thing I did was to fumble for my cell and call Eric with a squeeky "guess what Jared just did!!!"
