How different can they be???

Yeah well, I found out.

You know, before you have two kids, you hear the people with more than one kid say that their kids are soooo different. And you think, "yeah yeah, how different CAN they be??" They are siblings. This coming from someone who is a single child.

Now we have two. Two boys. And they are soooo totally different, from their looks to their personality.

Jared has soft blond hair. He's such a happy-go-lucky kid. He breaks out in a big grin whenever you look at him. He doesn't listen, in fact, he purposefully does just the opposite of what he's told, and stares as you with that famous grin of his. Many a times, Eric and I have to look away to hide the smile sneaking out, so he doesn't see the smile and be more encourged to misbehave. *SIGH* The kid gets away with murder with that grin, I tell ya! Jared never wants to cuddle. You ask for a kiss, and he'll giggle and run away. Of course if the rest of the family's cuddling, then he wants to be right in the middle of everyone. Or he tries to pull you apart, like he used to whenever Eric and I are cuddling. He'll yell at the top of his little squeaky voice "No mommy. Move away!"

Alex, on the other hand, has dark brown coarse hair. Stubborn, bad-tempered hair, like my mom used to call my hair. (Love you too, Mom, but that's another story for another day, if I ever put it in here...) He's almost always very serious, from day 1. Not smiling much, and gets his feathers ruffled easily. He does listen though, if he senses Mommy and Daddy are serious. He might give a fit first, but he will stop like he's told to. Alex is a cuddle bug. He always wants to be near someone. He can never be alone, unless he's forced to. He always had a deep voice, even when he was little. (ok, Alex was NEVER little. How can a 10-lb baby be little??)

Ok, ok, so they both have brown eyes. yipppeeee, we found one thing they have in common! Oh wait, there's another thing they have in common... They both want exactly what the other one has, as soon as the other one has it and they find they don't. *BIG SIGH*

I'm sure there are, and will be, lots more differences we will find as they grow older, so I guess this post will be updated as we go.
