Pumpkin Chunking and all

Thurmont, MD.

We went to pumpkin chunking with the neighbors. It was a blast, for the kids especially!

Alex got to pull the lever for the pumpkin cannon and operate the small corn/squash cannon all by himself, while Jared kept yelling "my turn my turn" next to him. :) Poor little guy! Since he was too little for the cannons, he settled for running like a mad man in the little haystack maze. Following first Alex, then the neighbor's kids in the maze yelling "Alex, Alex wait for me!" What a cutie pie!

We went to another farm on the way home. This one has lots of activities, like a hayride to the pumpkin patch, funny bumpy slide, mini train/tractor ride, etc. The funnies thing was goats at the top of a what looks like playground equipment. Only instead of kids running around on rocky bridges and platforms, there are goats up there. And for $1, you get to buy some feeds for the goats. What a deal! You get to pay to feed the farm's animals. They've got this deal down! Needless to say, the kids had a great time here too.

Fall is just too much fun! Our fall weekends are all packed already. It's going to be a busy few months, with Thanksgiving coming and our trip to China. Eek! I can feel the stress creeping up on me!
