We seem to be having all sorts of animal issues...
Last night, as I was listening to Staind (my current obsession) and surfing the net, I suddenly became aware of birds chirping. It was particularly odd, since we currently only had ONE bird in residence with us. But I could swear I heard two birds chirping! A soft fluid almost whistling kind of chirp, followed by a loud, harsh, and almost upset sort of chirp (like how Sammy chirps when he's mad, or starving). I turned to look at Sammy, the resident bird, and found him sitting there chirping all alone. Apparently making BOTH noises one after another. Could it be???
So I paused the music to get a clearer idea of what's going on. (Maybe there's a bird outside the dark, cold, treeless window. One never knows these days!) As soon as I paused the music, the chirping abruptly stopped.
I waited.
Nothing happened.
I waited some more and still nothing happened. So I gave up, and turned the music back on.
The chirping started, immediately. BOTH chirping noises.
I hit the pause button quickly and turned sharply to watch Sammy.
The chirping stopped abruptly again!
This went on for quite a while, I must confess. My inner-childishness got the better of me! I hit pause and start quickly several times back to back. I paused, he stopped. I started, he started. I paused again, he stopped again. Woohoo! I see a new channel for Comcast On demand!
It was good to know, however, my bird simply appreciated good music and is not having a Schizophrenic Conversation with himself!
