What more could go wrong? Well, I'd better not jinx myself...
Bright and early this morning I got woken up by my sister-in-law's phone call, informing me that Alex has been throwing up, and throwing up stomach bile no less! When he was three-month-old, we discovered that he had this rare defect that's called "Normal Rotation but Mal-fixation of intestines", which if his intestines are twisted, it could be potentially fatal... And one of the symptoms to look for is vomiting green, another is severe abdomen pain, which he has a little bit of also. Needless to say, I panicked! Especially since he's in PA at the moment and I'm three hours away. Thankfully, he seemed to be in good spirits when I talked to him, even after all the blood work they did, the x-rays and IV they've been pumping into him all morning. Then they got sent to a children's hospital in DE, where there are a couple of doctors there have actually heard of his type of problem. Ah, but after doing more tests, they had no idea what was wrong him, other than that they THINK it had nothing to do with his condition. So, they sent him home, because he hadn't thrown up for several hours and they think it was just some fluke that happened... Ok. Let's hope so! So far I haven't gotten a phone call, and the little guy was hungry! Always a good sign.
And tonight, I found out that I have a virus on my pc. Wtf?! After a bunch of fiddling and some luck from talking to a friend of mine, I finally got Kaspersky to install. But it's scanning ooooh sooooo slooooowly. Estimated completion time for the scan? 2:40 AM! I see that I'm going to be up for a while yet tonight. bah!
Did I say when it rains, it pours???
