The boys, or lack of them, Harry Potter and well, more Harry Potter

Isn't that what everyone's talking about these days? Eric said quite a few people weren't at work today and he figures that they must have decided to stay home to read the last (supposedly) Harry Potter book. :)

This is the first year I didn't finish the book in one day. Ack, gasp! Well, I had a busy weekend with my friends, so I had an excuse. But sadly, I'm only half way through the book. Can't get into this book as much as the last few for some reason... Maybe cuz it's not as gripping as the previous few in my mind.

And we saw the HP movie last week. It was pretty good! Better than I thought it would be, not being a big fan of the previous few. This one, IMHO, is better than the last few. Maybe the kids are finally getting the hang of acting.

And speaking of kids, we're free of kids this week! Eric's sister had decided to take ALL the kids off our hands for the week. This is the first time Jared's away from me! It's traumatic for me! But apparently not to him. bah, the little bugger! He's having way too much fun to be missing us, with all those kids at Eric's sister's house. (She's a saint, or insane! She's got her own kids, my kids, 2 foster kids, and her husband's niece all at her house! I hope my brother-in-law survives the week. :D)

He's even beginning to potty train for them! Woot! I hope they succeed. :) God knows I haven't had the success of doing so. His standard response to my asking "Want to go to the potty, Jared?" is usually "No I don't need to!" I wonder how he's doing with No.2 though... I'm glad it's not me! lol

When I told Alex that Jared was going to Aunt Jen's with him, he wasn't so sure... Before this week, it was always a special place that HE gets to go and NOT Jared. He told me that Jared was too little to go there. hehe Poor little guy. His little brother is slowly invading all HIS sacred things, places and people... Must be hard to be a big brother! But I know he's having fun there, so all is well!

And next week??? They're ALL coming back here! Woot!

It is my favorite HP book. I guess because action starts right away, instead of the usual dragging around about his summer time, and how he was mis-treated again by his uncle and aunt.

Not mine. In fact, this is the first time I have trouble finishing it in one sitting. But I do agree that it's much better without the suffering summer at the Dursley's.

But that said, I actually think it's much slower in pace than the other books. Took her half the book just to get through 1 Horcrux. Come on! But I expect the rest of the book would pick up, since she now has to finish the rest 5 in half the book. :) So I'm actually looking forward to the rest more.

And I was bawling my eyes out near the end. But I am glad my worst fear turned out to be a good thing actually, otherwise I would be crushed. You need to hurry up and finish, so I can talk about it, instead of talking around it.
