Weekend babbling

I went to one of my monthly all-day crops yesterday. Woohoo! It's always good to hang out with a bunch of women crazy enough to lug half of their life in 5 milion suitcases (Crop bag, sorry!) somewhere an hour away for a 10-hour straight crop. Oh, and complain that it's not long enough. There will always be too much really yummy food at crops (since they are usually potlucks), so it's just a good time all around. We spend most of the time yapping and catching up, since that's usually when some of us can get together. A month is a long time and a lot can happen in a month! :D (And see Vivian, I'm updating my blog since you complained that I don't update it often enough! Write your own, woman!)

Anyway... The weather has been simply gorgeous this weekend. We had gone to Lowes and bought a bunch of flowers, bushes, trees to plant in the yard. And seems that everyone and their brother had the same idea! Lowes and Home Depot were both packed with everyone buying gardening stuff. Speaking of which, I need more mulch! I see another trip to the store in my future! Gardening, though, must be one of the most rewarding hobbies. My flowers are blooming, including the little dogwood tree I planted last year. Wooooooot! I'm planting a magnolia tree this year. I can't wait to see how big it would grow to eventually. The planting instruction says 30'wide x 30' high. Eeek! Hopefully I'll have some magnolia pics later, the buds are starting to open. yay!!!

The boys spent most of today outside playing. At one point, they were sitting on our neighbor's lawn with one of our neighbors' son, the three of them in a huddle concentrating on this little handheld game. It was so cute that I just had to go and grab my camera. Guess it's the scrapbooker in me. It's so nice to have good weather though. All the kids in the neighborhood come out and play, having a grand ole time together. It's wonderful!
