My friend Sue was commenting on how much trouble it must be to have kids, and how many things you have to worry about. I concur!
Today Jared was running from the family room to the dining room, crossing the kitchen in the middle (if you have seen our house, you'd know the Family Room, Kitchen and the Dining room are all connected and forms one long corridor, perfect for kids to run from one end to the other. And that's precisely what Jared was doing. Only, he also had Alex's lightsaber in his hands, pointing straight in front of him around his waist. It's LONG, in fact, it's taller than him when standing up! And he's running full force across the kitchen, missing the kitchen cabinet on one side by mere inches! Eeek! Imagine my poor heart at this point! If the lightsaber had hit the cabinet full force, he would be really have gotten hurt!
I'm so not used to that. Alex was always very careful. He bumped his head once on my Mother-in-Law's wood floor in California (our house at the time had only carpet), and the second time he laid his little head down, he did it gently and carefully. He was 8-month-old at the time. He is STILL a very careful child, to this day. Thank goodness!
Jared, on the other hand, jumps down tabletops, and 4 steps on the stairway at 2. He's constantly bumping into things. He cut his finger with Alex's scissors the other day, and he inspected his finger, not even looking up and told me "my finger's bleeding, Mommy." I FREAKED out! The blood was dripping down and he's standing there going "Can I have a bandaid?" The next day, he picked up the scissors again. Is there no fear with this child?! Woe is me! lol

Sounds so much like Amber. She bumps into things ALL THE TIME. She is not three yet, she has already got hurt more times than her older brother.
