Episode 1.
We went to the Chinese Embassy Monday to get our visas for our trip. All was well until we were leaving... There were glass "walls" next to the glass doors at the visa office building, and Jared walked right into the glass walls instead of through the glass door that Eric held open! It was just so unbelievable, that we both busted out laughing immediately. Yes, we are horrible parents! Jared, in the mean time, paused, confused, and (more than likely) embarrassed, burst into tears. Poor lil guy!
Now we come back to today, 4 days later. We went to pick up our passports with the pretty pictures of the great wall for visas. Same bat place. Right. On the way out of the building, Jared paused before reaching the glass doors, pointed to the glass walls to the left of the doors where he had previously had bodily contact, and said "That's the wall. I don't go through there." Very matter-of-fact.
Episode 2.
Fast forward. We went to visit Eric at work after picking up the visas. It's on the way home, and Jared always likes going there. All the attention he gets from all the women there, would make ANY men want to go there.
Back up. About a month or two ago, we went to visit Eric at work. One of Eric's co-workers gave Jared some pennies for the candy dispenser machine on Eric's desk. Yes, he keeps LOTS of candies at work. And no, you are not surprised. You know Eric. So back to Jared. Needless to say Jared was fascinated by what the coins can give him in return from the dispenser! He ate enough candies that day to give him a major sugar rush and not want lunch.
Back to present day. We got to Eric's work. The very FIRST thing Jared does (aside from getting attention from all the women telling him how absolutely cute and adorable he is), is to go over to Eric's co-worker and say "can I have some coins?" ha!
I think we have an elephant in the family! (Elephants don't forget, just in case you didn't get that one.)
